For $14.99 a month, Uplay + offers more than 100 games, including the latest version of the developer. The latest Watchdog: Legion and Phantom Action: Breakpoint have been confirmed to be part of the service. Players can play through Uplay + when they launch.
In addition, Uplay + covers all the additional content of the game, such as DLC and extension packages. For example, when Watchdog: Legion was released, Uplay + users could enjoy an advanced version of the game.
Uplay + will be launched in North America and Europe on September 3. The service will also join Google Stadia in 2020.
Ubisoft is the third largest company to provide paid subscription services for games. EA's Access service was launched in 2014 and is now available on PCs. Microsoft soon launched Xbox Game Pass in 2017, offering a wide range of first-party and third-party games, using a monthly payment mechanism. The same Game Pass service was launched for PC players this year.
